A fire inside
AFI is a punk band who started out in Ukiah, California, the band started as somethign to between school and skating. The original band members were davey havock, vic Chalker, Mark Stopholse and Adam Carson. They were all basically around their freshman and senior years at this time...The band stayed together for a total of 8 months, which at this time the bassist, vic chalker, was replaced by geoff kresge. Soon after this happened, they released a 7" split. Then before graduation they released another 7" They played a lot of shows at The Phoenix Theatre.
After graduation the band broke up.But soon they reformed for a show at The Phoenix. It was at this time where the band started to attract people and they reformed for good. All members quit school adn decided to move to the bay and give all their might to the band. Several 7" were realeased by afi before making it big.. Then their first full lenght album, answer that and stay fashionable. was released and they went on tour. After this Dexter Holland signed them to his record label NITRORECORDS. Soon the second album was realeased adn they toured with snapcase and sick of it all. It was soon after this that the bassist Geoff, decided to quit the band, they persued Hunter burgan bassist of the force who was just to tour with them and he recorded the fire inside ep but then became a permanent member.In late 1998 came the next change. The guitarist mike decided to leave the band, at this point jade puget was the replacement.IN 1999 afi had a new lineup and a new chance for a new beginning.. the songs were improving as well as the sound and the lyrics,,,At this point black sails in the sunset was released. The year 2000 was teh best. THE ART OF DROWNING, was realeased and they toured with the offspring, and headlined their own tour.

THE BAND
DAVEY HAVOCK_Davey writes alot of the lyrics, and has a side project*(Son of Sam)* / he was worked with bands such as tiger army as well.
LEAD SINGER
ADAM CARSON_ Adam is the original drummer of afi, he has been there from teh start. He also works with side project as he worked with Tiger Army.
DRUMMER
HUNTER BURGAN_ BASSIST. Who used to play with the force but quit to become permanent afi member.
BASSIST
JADE PUGET_GUITAR. He is not only the guitarist he writes many lyrics as well. He was in other bands as well but quit them to stay permanantly with afi.
GUITAR
